China Three Gorges Latin America Company held two public open day sessions on September 20 and October 1.
On September 20, the Baranova Phase I Photovoltaic Project hosted a session, welcoming over 20 faculty members and students from the Renewable Energy Department of the University of Barranquilla. During the visit, participants visited the photovoltaic plant, integrated control room and booster station guided by the site manager. The manager provided an overview of CTG LatAm’s history, its contributions to local energy transition and climate action over the past four years, and the significance of Baranova Phase I as the first greenfield photovoltaic project in Latin America invested in by CTG LatAm. The students expressed that the session offered them valuable insights and a deeper understanding of photovoltaic power plant construction.
On October 1, the Colombian office held a second public open day session, attended by over 20 faculty members and students from CESA Higher Administrative School. Cristian, the country manager, introduced the business of the China Three Gorges Group and highlighted its efforts and achievements in the renewable energy sector.
